Tim Sale signed my copy of Absolute Batman: The Long Halloween. EEEEE! This guy is an Eisner Award-winning comic book artist LEGEND, and The Long Halloween is one of the seminal Batman stories, particularly as regards to the ‘evolution’ of Harvey Dent. aaaaaaaawesomesauce!
God, I’m such a nerd that sometimes I want to kick my own ass.
Kickin’. I have some pretty damned cool original comic artwork and have had a lot of comics and graphic novels signed over the years of attending Dragon*Con, so I know EXACTLY what a charge that is.
cheers,
Phil
Have you heard anything from BioWare yet? I’ve been anxious on your behalf for what feels like months now!
That’s probably because it HAS been months. I applied just before Thanksgiving of last year. I don’t think I’m going to hear back from them. Either my submission went overlooked in the flood of applicants who heard about it through PA, or they found something they didn’t like about it.
The one thing that gives me a bit of hope is that the position is still listed on their website. As long as that’s the case, I won’t entirely give up. I just wish I could TALK to someone and convince them to give me a shot.
cheers,
Phil
Hmm. If the position is still listed, perhaps you should resubmit, now that the massive influx of PA submissions is over. Perhaps with a different sample, something to demonstrate your range in case they remember the first one? If it’s been this long, it can’t hurt to get your work in front of their eyes another time. 🙂
That’s fucking awesome, <--- jealous
Someone posted about it in–you could’ve come, too!
I missed it, I was out most of the weekend, I don’t have any of my old comics, they’re all collecting dust in Northgate
I am thrilled for you!
We are all nerds about something (thank god or I’d feel sooo alone).
The important thing is that we are ‘cool’ nerds.
