Hmm, someone forgot to look up ‘forever’ in the dictionary ?

They probably wanted to reference ‘Strawberry Fields Forever’ but didn’t realize how stupid the sign makes them look.

That makes sense, loopy sense, but sense.

Maybe, and hear me out on this, maybe it’s a buy-in system. For a limited time, you can subscribe to the Strawberry Lemonade club. Once in, you can get it forever, but they’re only selling subscriptions for a limited time.

Obvious once you think about it.

Hmm. Maybe I should write a letter to the Wetzel’s Pretzel’s people and ask for more information on their limited time forever lemonade.

      1. greyweirdo October 4, 2010 at 9:38 pm

Well yeah. If you don’t buy in, you’ll miss out.

    That’s really really dumb!

    1. admin October 4, 2010 at 10:54 pm

It’s really expensive to print signs that large, I can’t believe not a SINGLE person in the design process thought “Hmm, forever? For a limited time?”

      1. badrobot68 October 4, 2010 at 10:57 pm

Yeah, I mean this wasn’t just ONE PERSON making a sign, right? It seems super obvious to me that something is wrong here, yet nobody noticed before the sign was printed?

    Like that is even real.

I laughed at this for like 10 minutes straight. Seriously.

You should submit this to Failblog.

That’s a good idea, I’ll do it when I get home! For some reason, Failblog is not blocked by the work filters, but the submission part of the site IS blocked. ಠ_ಠ

    I’m reminded of two things.

The less funny was the WOW bubble tea place’s slogan of “We love fruits!” This is slightly funny because they are explicitly an evangelical christian bubble tea shop (WOW stands for World of Worship), and I always thought it should be “We love fruits! But we condemn their behavior!” or “We love fruits! But our god finds them detestable!”

The more funny was a stand-up ad for one of the Rise of Nations games: “A real-time strategy game covering 5,000 years of history!” I gather the idea is that your family plays the game in pepertuity.
