When I’m benevolent dictator, anywhere I happen to be will be ‘Mellzah Day’, which will be a mandatory paid day off. Unless the job post is too important to be abandoned, in which case that person will be paid double-time. :schemes:
I have a feeling Fright Fest isn’t going to work out for me :(…I just got the lowest paycheck I’ve had since April, and when I already wasn’t sure how it was all going to work when I thought it would be higher…I wish riding rollercoasters at Great America were free, because it’s just what I need before I start working every single day for over two weeks…
it’s not my normal schedule, but I’m working shifts in exchange for coworkers who have already covered for me (like when I went to Colorado in August, among a few other dates)…unfortunately it includes some additional Saturday and Sunday hours to what I already work, or hours on days that I normally have off (but sometimes it’s just four hours at a time)…it’s always less than forty hours though, so it’s not like I’m putting in overtime…and I just realized I overestimated how many days in a row that I work, so after next week I’ll at least have my Wednesdays back…
one good thing about these extra hours now is the extra money…some of them are exchange for hours I previously got paid vacation for taking off…

Hey! I was there this year and didn’t see it. 🙁
This concourse must be death for those in a rush to get to a gate. Everyone else must be hypnotized. (Good place for pickpockets, though.)

Off topic, Tonya is enticing me to do Nanowrimo this year, but my muse fell out of love and left town long ago. (sigh)
This is your opportunity to pitch me a premise for a 50,000+-word novel. If it inspires me, you just may be able to read a bad novel written about it in December…then imagine the fun you’d have gloating about how you’d have written it better! Then you can put “professional muse” or “idea (wo)man” on your resume.
Well duh!
Wish I wasn’t at work so we could hang out or something. 🙁
Not everyone has seen this wondrous walkway!

i has been there!
My favorite thing about O’hare is the automated plastic toilet seat covers.
Those are pretty swank, too.
welcome back to the Midwest!

laaaaame. 🙁
Every day for two weeks? Isn’t there a law against that?
