Seriously, I love this season. If I was into doing my nails, I would be right there with you. All I can manage is to just throw a bunch of tinsel around and hope for the best! =D
If you are into polish, the nail board at makeupalley is both a blessing and a curse–people are always posting cute manicure ideas and layering combos and sales…but it also inspires a desire to buy polish beyond which one person could ever wear in a lifetime.

Nordstrom is offering it as a gift with purchase, so I totally spent $30 on Deborah Lippmann nail polish that I really don’t *need* (but totally wanted, like Birthday Cake!) just so I could get it for “free.” Instead of, you know, just buying it outright. Those gifts with purchase deals always get me…
I’m hoping the DL ridge filling base coat is as awesome as I’ve heard. D:
My list of Lippmann desires is looooooong. Bad Romance, Today was a Fairytale, and Boom Boom Pow are topping it right now. I’ve got a thing for hex glitter.

I have Bad Romance, and I’m a teeny bit disappointed with it. The purple is so dark that unless you’re in really good light, it just looks like black nail polish. I like Across the Universe better because the blue is light enough to really show the sparkle.
I have Across the Universe and love it, it easily makes my top ten polishes list. That’s disappointing to hear about Bad Romance, from the polish blogs I follow, it looked gorgeous…but they always take pictures in great light so I suppose that makes sense. I’m very rarely in great light so I guess at least that’s one more expensive polish off my wish list.
My desire for Ruby Red Slippers was so strong, I bought the three pack with Superstar and Funky Chunky (they didn’t sell Ruby Red Slippers on its own at the time). Superstar is just ok, and Funky Chunky BLOWS. It’s black hex glitter in a black polish so essentially it looks like you’re either really shitty at applying polish or that you punched a beehive with wet nails. I wish I could trade both of those in for some I like better.
You are just made of awesome! I secretly have my toenails painted in a glittery silver, that way I can have glitter all the time and nobody has to know. *grin*
I don’t think it’s a rule…at least not a rule that *I* want to follow. But this is the time of year where people might be less judgmental about crazy amounts of glitter. Might.

AHHHHHHHH these are great! i wish i could stop biting my nails.
I was a nailbiter for years and years and years, I finally quit in ~January 2009 and have had a couple of setbacks since then when I was super super super stressed but instead of biting them off now, I’ll peel them off. What finally got me to quit was a nail buffer that my roommate got me in December ’08…buffing them made them look nice enough to the point where I didn’t want to ruin them by sticking them in my mouth. Eventually, they got long enough to polish without looking super shitty and I think it’s my love of polish that’s kept them out of my mouth since then.
When you are Empress, will you create even MORE holidays? Because I would like that.
Such wondrous holidays shall I give you!
Also, I love your icon. XD
I love it too.
PS: You might like this.
Like it? I luuurve it.
mmmm tasty peppermint fingers!

More tinsel = more festive!
Oooo pretty!
Now I feel like I need to go home and break out my GothSparkle! red/black glitter polish. (Not because it’s Christmasy, just because it’s awesome.)
I loooove red & black together. If you haven’t seen ruby red slippers it is a gorgeous polish and completely worth the splurge.
I have this one and it’s totally awesome:

LOL when you said red & black glitter polish Lubu Heels is the FIRST thing I thought of. I may have a problem.
And now I am going to have to get some black polish to put under it like the blogger in the link tried, of course. 😉
It is a sad thing that I no longer live across the street from Sally Beauty supply. 🙁

Please to be wearing glitter on your hands year-round.
I may need to mix things up once in a while so that I continue to appreciate the awesomeness of glitter. XD
If you chew on them, are they peppermint-flavored?
No, sir! As a former nail-biter for something like twenty years, nibbling is not something I want to encourage.
You are just made of awesome! I secretly have my toenails painted in a glittery silver, that way I can have glitter all the time and nobody has to know. *grin*
Mine are like gold disco balls right now. XD
You should get together with that woman married to Dog the Bounty Hunter.
That is the meanest thing you have ever said to me. 🙁
She fascinates me. Of course, 60+% of that is her massive massive rack, but still. Those gloves. Wat.
I don’t know if know what gloves you’re talking about, it just seemed like you were insinuating I was suuuuuuuuper trashy.
No, she has special gloves with the thin slice of tip missing to show off her nails. So the nails REALLY STAND OUT.
That’s so trashy and horrible. 🙁
I tried google image searching pics of those gloves but I couldn’t find any. Just a few shots of her and others in their family.
Funny thing: All the pics? ON MYSPACE.
HAHAHA I’m sure that says *something* about their demographic.
I love it!
Thank you!
They’re so cute and pretty! 😀 Good job!
Thank you! 🙂
Love them!!!!!!
Thank you!
Wait, are we not supposed to wear glitter on our nails all year?

You should do holiday manicures. I’d pay!
That’s something I would love to do. 🙂
